We are proud to introduce Ocean Point, a waterfront home located in the magnificent community of Belcarra, BC. Just steps from the Pacific Ocean, Ocean Point is complete with multiple decks, a newly installed boat launch, and expansive water views. It was an absolute thrill for us to take a generic house and transform it into something truly special and reflective of its surroundings.

We began the design process by reconfiguring the interior floor plan, allowing for more square footage, and an open concept throughout. We selected all new materials and finishes, added stunning architectural details including ceiling treatments, a new deck, a set of gorgeous arched French doors, and a sliding glass Nana wall dramatically opening up the entire back side of the home to the ocean view. We added all new lighting, doors and hardware, designed an arched front door, selected new exterior lighting, paint selections, and reclad the exterior of the home with heritage style shingles. On the interior, we included beautiful touches of grass cloth wallpaper, iridescent handmade tiles, burnished brass light fixtures, and a stunning concrete fireplace unit. We completed this project by selecting new furniture, art, and accessories - all in keeping with the soft, watery colour palette and coastal scenes surrounding the property.

We added square footage in the primary ensuite with the addition of a new exterior deck and let maximum light in by adding additional windows capitalizing on the water view. The softly textured icy blue wall covering adds a lovely touch of texture along with beautiful, custom-made linen drapery. The TV in the primary bedroom is discreetly tucked away at the foot of the bed, lifting and tucking away on a mechanized arm at the simple push of a button.

When selecting materials, we opted for a juxtaposition of shimmery and matte, sophisticated and rustic, dramatic and airy. Complete with splashes of woven teal grass cloth wallpaper in the front entry and dining room, roughly hewn organic wood cabinetry in the kitchen and handmade, organic tile in the primary bath. We intentionally chose materials with elevated quality and a sense of organic, handmade character. The combination of materials and style in this home feels sophisticated yet comfortable and decidedly unfussy. The end result is a truly luxuriously casual beachfront living.
